About me

My twenty-year career in the joint sphere of artistic research and personal development first led me to initiate and lead choirs dedicated to traditional songs, appreciated for their ability to free voices and emotions. At the same time, I come regularly on stage as a singer, in connection with theater and dance or musical coach, start my research in vocal improvisation in the class of Garett List at the Conservatory of Liège and to put my attention on Sound and Music Healing, a training with Pat Muffit Cook that I pursue this year. Also aware of the fundamental role of rhythm in music and curious to approach aspects related to personal evolution, I train myself in the rhythmic process TaKeTiNa with Reinhard Flatischler and Tania Bosak. This joyful and balancing practice allows me today to accompany the person on a path of profound transformation thanks to the restructuring and regenerating power of rhythm. I completed the certification as a Senior TaKeTiNa Teacher in November 2024.

    Let it beat !

Intensive Workshop of the TaKeTiNa Rhythmic Process

TaKeTiNa is a practice accessible to everyone that develops our musicality and works on—transforms—our being through rhythm.

The goal of this immersive weekend is to experience the profound and simultaneous presence and letting go in order to find the spontaneous expression of the rhythm that constitutes us and a direct connection to the flow of life.

During this two and a half day workshop (the integration nights are important!), Baptiste Vaes, accompanied by Giulia Matteucci on the surdo, will guide you through diverse rhythmic landscapes (from simple rhythms to more complex polyrhythms), combining steps, clapping, and singing to awaken your inner body awareness, stimulate receptivity (hearing, seeing, feeling, visualizing), and enhance your ability to let go of control.

Learning through the body is direct and requires no technical skills. The rhythms become a mirror of our personal process and teach us to embrace greater authenticity.

Practicing TaKeTiNa requires no prior musical knowledge and invites participants to progress at their own pace. The sessions will be led in English and translated into Italian as needed by the group.

    From connection to expression

Intensive workshop on rhythm, voice and ritual

From individual daily practices to collective celebrations of key life moments, ritual, with its gestures, words/songs and symbols, helps us find meaning in our actions and our very presence.

The TaKeTiNa process has all the hallmarks of a ritual that connects us to our deepest nature—rhythm—and to a collective movement—rhythm again! — which enhances our quality of presence in the moment.

For three days, Tania Bosak and Baptiste Vaes invite you to create moments of collective celebration from individual experiences, moments that can be both opportunities for expression and transformation.

The TaKeTiNa practice in the mornings will be fundamental for:

    • Connect with authenticity
    • Experience the « It » – the binding rhythmic force that unites and grounds
    • Deepen rhythmic awareness and stimulate natural musicality

The afternoon’s creative development sessions will aim to:

    • Transform story and symbol into embodied expression
    • Co-create rhythm and vocal-based rituals that open space for presence and connection
    • Reclaim rhythm and voice as a shared human langage that connects body, story and spirit

Tania will guide an immersive process exploring rhythm as a pathway to intuition and ritual: Grounding through rhythm and breath, working with layered rhythmic cycles, movement and simple instruments to build embodied awareness and rhythmic orientation / Using personal stories or symbols as material for exploration through listening, writing, and movement, inviting intuitive rather than interpretive responses / Co-creation of rhythm-based rituals — meditative, communal practices that integrate rhythm, story, and expression beyond performance.

Baptiste Vaes will guide a vocal improvisation process in three parts: Preparatory exercises to connect the voice to movement and become familiar with the fundamental roles within a singing choir / Developing the choir’s ability to compose in the moment based on shared stories / A creative process evolving from personal reflection to collective rhythmic and vocal expression on the theme “What is important? »

The workshop is open to everyone. We are not aiming for performance but rather the expression of our being and what constitutes community. It will be conducted in English and translated into French as needed by the group.
